AnterVue — Eye Capture at Your Palm

Quick Eye Image Documentation

AnterVue (previously named QuikVue) is a portable ocular imaging device that works with a smartphone or tablet to capture and document corneal and ocular surface conditions. With cobalt blue illumination and a Wratten filter, it supports Ortho-K lens fitting, blepharitis detection, and corneal disease imaging such as ulcers and SPK.

Ideal for pre-test workflow, post-op monitoring, outside screening and veterinary ophthalmology, AnterVue is an economical alternative to digital slit lamps.

Detect Blepharitis & Boost Practice Revenue

AnterVue captures high-resolution images of the eyelids and ocular surface, making it easy to identify signs of blepharitis during pre-test screening. Doctors can show patients their eyelid condition, improving awareness and compliance.

Clear visual communication supports patient education and helps practices recommend appropriate lid hygiene and cleaning solutions as part of ongoing care.

Check Ortho-K Lens Fit Anytime, Anywhere

Cobalt blue illumination and a Wratten filter make AnterVue a practical tool for evaluating Ortho-K lens fitting. Practitioners can quickly assess whether a lens is too tight or too loose, document fitting outcomes and compare follow-up images.

Its portability suits both in-clinic pre-test workflows and outside screenings.

Efficient Corneal Disease Imaging & Documentation

AnterVue captures clear images of corneal pathologies, including corneal ulcers and superficial punctate keratitis (SPK). It also supports pre- and post-operative documentation, helping clinicians record surgical outcomes and monitor recovery.

Practitioners can document disease progression, explain findings to patients and build a visual archive for long-term treatment planning.

Veterinary Ophthalmic Imaging Made Simple

Veterinarians can efficiently record eye conditions such as ulcers, keratitis or lens complications during routine examinations and surgery. AnterVue enables clear disease documentation, better client communication and more effective follow-up care.

White and Blue Illumination

AnterVue Plus features white and blue LED illumination. The warm white light offers two adjustable brightness levels. Blue light is ideal for capturing fluorescein-stained images during corneal staining assessments and contact lens fittings.

Smartphone Compatibility

Smartphone Compatibility

Thanks to its air-cushion design, AnterVue Plus securely attaches to most smartphones. Simply align the AnterVue lens with the phone’s main camera; the camera should be within 5 cm of the edge for correct alignment.

Working Application

AnterVue works with the default camera app on most smartphones and with the VisuDoc ophthalmic case-management app developed by VisuScience. VisuDoc is available for iOS and Android.

A mini Li-ion battery recharges via USB Type-C. The charging indicator changes from blue to green when charging is complete. During operation, a steady blue light indicates normal use; a flickering light indicates that recharging is required.
